PowerPay Offers Businesses Unique Approach to Support the University of Maine Alumni Association (UMAA)
The UMAA Has Partnered with PowerPay to Generate Revenue for Alumni Programs and Scholarships through GIVE U Program
Orono, ME and Portland, ME - September 7, 2011 - Today, the University of Maine Alumni Association (UMAA) has announced its partnership with Maine-based PowerPay, oneof the nation's leading providers of merchant account payment processing solutions. This partnership enables University of Maine alumni-owned or operated businesses and their supporters to generate an ongoing stream of funding for UMAA simply by processing credit card transactions. PowerPay's GIVE U Program takes 20% of PowerPay's profit from each transaction at the participating business and donates it to the UMAA on behalf of the merchant. These funds support alumni programs, communications, scholarships and alumni events, including homecoming and reunions.
"The UMaine Alumni Association understands the importance of staying connected and supporting Maine businesses," says Todd Saucier, President/Executive Director of the UMAA. "That's why we are excited to work with a company like PowerPay that's based in Maine and provides all services right here in Maine as well. With PowerPay, we're confident that our alumni will receive the highest quality payment processing products and services at the best possible price."
"PowerPay is pleased to work with the UMAA in order to create more funding through the GIVE U Program," states Jim Raftice, President and Chief Operations Officer at PowerPay. "We understand that many alumni businesses want to be able to support the UMAA, but may not have the time or means to do so. This program gives alumni all over the country the opportunity to give back and show their support without adding expenses."
PowerPay is one of the nation's fastest growing and most trusted providers of merchant card and electronic payment processing solutions.
